Overall, for Metro Vancouver area, April reflected a market that continues to gain seasonal momentum, though elevated inventory is helping to keep price growth relatively contained. Detached sales appear to be improving first, while the condo and townhome segments remain more measured. If demand continues to build through the spring market, the next few months will be important in determining whether current inventory levels are sufficient to maintain balance, or whether renewed buyer activity begins to place pressure on prices upward.
